🎉Exciting message from Superintendent Wallace - I'm thrilled to announce Mrs. Jaci Thornburg as our new JH/HS Principal beginning in the 24-25 school year! Jaci has demonstrated exemplary performance and work ethic as our elementary principal for the past four years and with her 17 years of experience at the secondary level, I'm very confident in her ability to continue the strong tradition of excellence at the junior and senior high level. After four incredible years serving as the Danville Elementary Principal, I am embarking on a new journey within the district. Starting with the 2024 - 2025 school year, I will be transitioning to the role of Junior High/High School Principal in the Danville Community School District. Over half of my 30 year educational career has been spent at the secondary level, so it is with great anticipation and enthusiasm that I return to working with junior high and high school students and staff. I am particularly excited to continue the Professional Learning Community work that has been initiated at the secondary level. Collaborating with our dedicated staff, I am eager to build upon the strong foundation already in place and contribute to the academic and personal growth of our secondary students. One of my primary goals is to cultivate meaningful relationships with both students and staff. Together, we will continue to uphold and enhance the outstanding educational reputation that Danville has already earned. Additionally, I am committed to fostering a strong sense of community within our school and nurturing a deep sense of pride in our students for their own personal growth, their school, and the entire Danville community. I am incredibly grateful for the warm welcome and support I have received thus far, and I am eager to continue my work in a new capacity in this amazing district. Go Bears!
