Even though the 2021-2022 school year has just officially ended and summer is barely under way, many of our Danville teachers have already started preparing for next year. 25 Danville teachers spent Thursday and Friday of this week in training entitled “the Writing Revolution”. We have had great conversations and lots of learning with some outstanding presenters from Great Prairie AEA this week. We are already looking forward to implementing our new learning with kids next fall!

CALL: Calling the USDA Hotline at 1-866-348-6479 is another great way to find free summer food service programs in your area.
Remember, you can also use these resources to find Summer Meal Programs while on vacation or visiting relatives!
Tonights revised agenda is as follows: JH BASEBALL AT WEST POINT CANCELLED. JH SOFTBALL AT WEST POINT STARTS AROUND 5-5:15PM. THERE WILL BE TWO 4 INNING GAMES OR TIME LIMIT. HS SOFTBALL GAME WILL BE MOVED FROM DANVILLE TO WEST POINT WITH A 7PM START (VARSITY ONLY).
We will have our annual "Walk the Blue Carpet" dismissal starting tomorrow 5/27 at approximately 10:20 am. Students, starting with Kindergarten, will walk down the sidewalk across from the circle drive. They will then sit down lining the sidewalk as the next grade walks down. Parents may watch from the grass on the front lawn, behind the students.
REMINDERS: Wednesday, May 25th will NOT be an early out. Our last day Friday, May 27th will be an 11AM dismissal.
The Baseball and Softball games tonight at Central LEE 5/24 will be as follows varsity at 5:30pm followed by JV. This is because of the forecast .

Reminder...tomorrow is Track & Field Day at Danville Elementary! Students in grades 3 - 6 will participate from 9:00 - 11:30, students in Kindergarten - 2nd grade will participate from 12:30 - 2:30. Please make sure your child brings a water bottle, wears sunscreen, and dresses appropriately for the weather. Parents are invited to attend. We ask that you please park in the baseball/softball parking lot and enter through the gates near the ball fields. Visitor stickers will be passed out at the gates, where all guests will be required to sign in. We thank you for your cooperation in keeping our students safe. Go Bears!
